In the high tech and fast-paced world where everything is digital, having a pen drive for storing files and data has become an important part of our life. It is an electronic flash storage device or a non-volatile device used for storing digital information. They are small in size and are portable. Pen drive is a re-writeable device and it has a brilliant feature of retaining data without the use of external power. There are different companies that manufacture pen drive such as Kingston, Sony, Transcend, etc. Pen drives are also called as USB (Universal Serial Bus) flash drives, which uses flash memory to store your data. Hard drives on the other hand are also storage devices which are used to store operating system, system files and application software. But the main difference between hard drive and flash drive is that flash drive can store application but cannot be used to run system level applications.
The pen drives or USB flash memory sticks are integrated with Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface. It uses FAT32 file format for storing and manipulating data on it. As pen drives are used for storing important backup files or for transferring data from one system to another. Even after handling the pen drives with care, you still tend to lose data from them, as they are susceptible to data loss. In this condition to recover your deleted and lost files from them, you need an appropriate software that can recover pen drive data efficiently. There are many situations, which contribute to major data loss from pen drive.
Factors leading to data loss from Pen drive are as follows:
To overcome the above mentioned scenarios you need to protect your computers power with UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply). Make sure that your computer is shut down properly. Avoid forcing the computer to turn off by pressing and holding the power button. Dont save any new files on your affected pen drive because it may overwrite the data on your drive. Once if it is overwritten then its not possible to recover data from the drive. But still you can recover files from pen drive by using good file recovery software for Windows.
This powerful software helps you to recover files by scanning the entire drive within few minutes. This software has an ability to recognize and recover files based on their unique signatures. This file recovery tool can recover more than 280 file types and also supports recovery of files from FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, NTFS5, ExtFAT drive. Before buying this utility you can download the demo version to evaluate how the software recovers your lost or deleted files. This recovery tool facilitates file recovery from external USB drives, hard drives, memory cards, FireWire, etc. The software lets you recover files from Trash on Mac and Recycle Bin on Windows. The software also lets you recover files from iPod which have been deleted due to various reasons. The software is capable of SanDisk flash drive file recovery, Kingston USB flash drive recovery and storage devices of other brands.
