Guidelines to Recover Files from Transcend Memory Card

Transcend is a well-known brand of memory card that is most commonly used in digital cameras, mobile phones, PDAs and all other electronic devices to store data. Flash memory is used in memory cards hence they are also called as flash memory cards. Transcend memory cards can store audio files, video files, text files, image files etc. Data stored on these memory cards can be easily transferred to the computer via card reader or USB cable. When you connect memory card to computer via card reader, the Operating System of your computer detects it as another drive and assigns a drive letter to it. Memory cards use FAT file system to organize data in an appropriate manner. Sometimes, you may accidentally delete data from it resulting in data loss. Actually, when you delete data from memory card, it is not deleted permanently from it. Only pointers pointing to the location of specific files are deleted making them as inaccessible and marks those locations available for storing new data. Therefore you can retrieve deleted from memory card such as Trasncend using relevant Transcend memory card recovery tool.

Few scenarios leading to data loss in Transcend memory cards are as follows:

  • Unintentional Deletion of files: You may accidentally delete files from memory card using Shift + Delete key combination on Windows OS when your memory is connected to the system, thus resulting in data loss.
  • Accidential Formatting: After connecting memory card to your system, you might see error message such as:"The drive is not formatted, do you want to format it now". If you format the memory card in this scenario, you will end up with data loss.
  • File System Corruption: Improper start up procedures and abruptly removing the memory card from the card reader connected to the system can lead to file system corruption thus resulting in heavy data loss.
  • Corruption of memory card: If you are using same memory card on different computers or devices like phones, cameras etc, they can easily get corrupted. In this scenario, they are exposed to malware and viruses. This can also be a case with your portable hard drives. So, if you want to recover data from portable hard drive, memory card or any other storage drive, simple visit this page link : http://www.myfilerecovery.net/portable-hard-drive.html.

Data loss can also occur due to different reasons like sudden power failures, improperly removing memory card, improper system shutdown etc. When these problems occur, the file system of memory card gets corrupted. If the file system of memory card gets corrupted then while accessing data from it, you may encounter error messages. These error messages do not allow you to access the data from it resulting in data loss. So in order to avoid data loss from memory card always take a backup of your important files. If you have not taken proper backup of your files then you can recover your deleted or lost data using good file recovery software for Windows.
